The fonds consists of eleven series of records comprising textual and photographic material generated over the course of Golden Stanley's lifetime as well as some of his parents' records dating back to the early Twentieth Century. The organization of this material reflects Golden Stanley's strong belief in classifying and cataloguing material by subject, with some of it also arranged by form and function. However, original order is difficult to fully ascertain, given the small amount of material and his tendancy to file some of his own records in the archives' subject files. Series include: biology and botany material, chemistry notebooks, diaries, Esperanto material, Herman Leisk archaeology material, James C. Stanley material, music, notebooks, scouting, scrapbooks, writings, photographs, miscellaneous record books, and other miscellaneous material.
