Series consists of correspondence, petitions, bylaws, copies of Council resolutions and Committee of the Whole minutes, subdivision plans, and agreements, relating to the role of the Law Department in drafting local improvement bylaws, negotiating and monitoring agreements for the construction resulting from these bylaws. Examples of local improvements referred to in these records include, the planting of trees, the digging of ditches, the installion of drainage works, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and street lights, as well as the construction of roads.
