    Biographical history

    The Honeymoon Bay Lawn Bowling Association operated at Honeymoon Bay on Cowichan Lake. They existed to promote the game of lawn bowling. An initial meeting was held on March 23, 1952 to discuss the possibility of forming a club. The company (Western Forest Industries) provided the space, prepared the grounds, and shared in the maintenance. The 1st president was Sam Tembey. It is not known when the club suspended.

    Custodial history

    Don Hammond who was a member of the club at various times and also represented the company, donated the textual records in 1983 and the photographs in 1991.

    The fonds consists of documents and photographs that concern the business of the Association. the fonds consists of 9 series and include minutes; correspondence; financial records; printed material and photographs.
