Biographical history
Harry Wright Bullock was born in England and came to Salt Spring Island in 1892. He built a large mansion near a lake, later named Bullock Lake, and owned 300 acres, on which fruit and nut trees were planted. He also grew vegetables and grain crops. Bullock sponsored orphaned and underprivileged boys to live and work on his farm. He also established a creamery on Upper Ganges Road and the original Gulf Islands Trading Company store in Ganges.

The fonds consists of Bullock's glass plate negatives depicting people, events and scenes of Salt Spring Island in the 1890s.
