Biographical history

Eli Harrison, Sr. was born in England and arrived in B.C. in 1858. He became a justice of the peace and a member of the Masonic order. His son, Eli Harrison, Jr. studied law and also became a Mason, a Law Society bencher, Stipendiary Magistrate and member of numerous commissions of inquiry in British Columbia.

The fonds consists of scrapbook containing commissions, correspondence, photographs, invitations and reports pertaining to the judicial and Masonic careers of Eli Harrison, Sr., and his son, Eli Harrison, Jr. Includes pamphlet by Eunice Harrison, wife of Eli, Jr., about the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.
