History

Roderick Haig-Brown was born in Sussex, England, in 1908. He moved to B.C. where he became known as an author, environmentalist and Justice of the Peace. In 1934 he was appointed Magistrate of the Juvenile Court of Campbell River. From 1970-1972, he was Chancellor of the University of Victoria.
