Guy Constable was an engineer active in the Creston Valley and Columbia-Kootenay watershed in land reclamation, water resource development, economic development, fruit growing, grain farming and the Creston Valley School District.

The fonds consists of correspondence, reports, minutes, and diaries pertaining to Constable's activities in promoting the development of the Columbia-Kootenay watershed. Fonds includes photographs of the Creston Valley (predominantly from 1945) and maps of the Columbia-Kootenay watershed area. Fonds includes records relating to the Creston Power, Light and Telephone Company, the Kootenay Valley Power and Development Company, various farmers' associations, and the Creston Board of Trade/Chamber of Commerce. It also includes copies of provincial and federal documents relating to development in the Columbia-Kootenay watershed.
