Biographical history
G.I. Peters emigrated to Canada from Russia. He was a Mennonite minister in various churches in the Fraser Valley and was involved in a variety of missionary and educational activities. Peters was head of the Mennonite Historical Society for many years.

The fonds consists of correspondence, reports, minutes, and reference material relating to Peter's life as a missionary and Christian educator. The fonds includes records pertaining to the Mennonite Benevolent Society (Abbotsford, B.C.), the Mennonite Foundation, the Mennonite Historical Society of British Columbia, and various Mennonite conferences and boards. The fonds also includes legal documents, correspondence, photographs, and the financial register of the Peters family.
