Biographical history
George Williams was born in Detroit, Michigan, USA, on December 12, 1894 and moved to Ontario with his family in 1897. The family moved to Grindrod, BC, in 1905. George Williams served in WWI with the Canadian Engineers. He returned to the family farm in Grindrod and cut timber from an adjacent property. He was predeased by his mother, Amelia Knapp in 1953. He sold the farm to Jim Brodoway and purchased adjacent acreage where he cut timber and cordwood. Williams passed away in Grindrod, September 17, 1968.
Custodial history
Williams gave his personal papers to his neighbour, May Dangel.

Fonds consists of George Williams' personal papers, including correspondence, a will, a diary, tax assessments and timber marks, receipts, and photo negatives.
