Biographical history
Duncan D. McTavish was the son of George Archibald McTavish and Catherine Amelia Helmcken. He was born in 1882 and worked as a customs broker, notary public and in the real estate and insurance business. From 1939-1950 he was an alderman for the City of Victoria. He also was an amateur photographer. In 1911 he married Emilie Lysle Craig. Duncan died in 1967.
