Custodial history

Scope and content

Fonds consists of a family history and a family tree. Includes the first draft of the history, starting with a paragraph extracted from a letter written to the authors of a biography of Don Claudio Rebagliati, relating conditions in the second century A.D., in which a group of Romans emigrated to northern Italy. This group became known as the 'Rebellious Ones'. The name changed gradually from Rebellatus to Ribellari and eventually to Rebagliati. The history brings us to the present, explaining the various branches of the family, particularly those who settled in Lytton. The family tree starts from 1863, and lists 5 branches of the Rebagliati family.
