The Delta Central PTA played an important advocacy role promoting the education and well-being of the children of the community. The PTA raised funds for the purchase of equipment and books, sponsored school programs and teen events, created awards that marked pupils' achievements, educated parents about better parenthood, and supported the school staff. The group also sponsored Dental Clinics for school children, a major activity on the part of the PTA in the 1950s.
