Biographical history
David P. Heidebrecht was born in Russia and emigrated to Canada in 1924. He moved to British Columbia around 1940. He was a school teacher and writer and was active in a variety of Mennonite organizations.

The fonds consists of manuscripts and notes relating to Heidebrecht's writings. The fonds also contains Heidebrecht's correspondence with and research notes about Russian Mennonites who fought in World War I.
