Don Corby is an American who lived in Carcross Yukon. He came to Comox in 1944 to go to Comox High School graduated in 1947. While in Comox he boarded with Hamilton Mack Laing and developed a lasting friendship with the well known naturalist. He spent four years as a Sea Cadet in Comox and developed and maintained a friendship with Sidney Burnaby Wood dEsterre.
