              The fonds consists of records created and accumulated by Delgado since 1964. The fonds contains correspondence, personal records, photographs, slides, negatives, video recordings, audio recordings of interviews with Delgado, and files focusing on: projects (shipwreck and historic sites), expeditions, lectures and education, and writing. The fonds also focuses on Delgado’s work with the National Park Service in the US, his work with the Vancouver Maritime Museum and with the Institute for Nautical Archaeology. Records also focus on Delgado’s work on The Sea Hunters television program.

              The fonds comprises records created by Duke from approximately 1946 to 2006. They are related to all aspects of Duke’s life and career. Among other types of records, the fonds includes: drafts of Duke's articles, essays and speeches; personal and production photographs; annotated working scripts of various television and film productions; personal and administrative correspondence; legal records, personal and administrative correspondence pertaining to the takeover of CKVU-TV; awards; personal notes; journals; press clippings featuring work by and about Duke; ephemera collected by Duke; and audio/visual material.

              Series have been determined during archival processing and are primarily based on the various activities that Duke engaged in over his life and working career (see the Arrangement note below for more details about series arrangement).               Edgar Dunning fonds

              The fonds consists of Mr. Dunning's family and business records; records accumulated as a member of various community organizations; and documents, manuscripts, and photographs resulting from Edgar's work for the Delta newspaper, the Optimist, and his interest in Delta community events and history. Family records include correspondence and legal records regarding the property on 48th Avenue and Delta Street, as well as financial and educational certificates. A large series of memorabilia includes invitations and other ephemera, which Edgar accumulated as publisher and reporter for the Optimist and as active community member. Business records are largely from the Optimist printing business, and include examples of print products such as invitations, programs, letterheads, tickets, municipal reports, etc., which were printed for local people and businesses of Delta. A small series of Optimist newspaper records include lists of subscribers from the 1940s. The fonds includes a sample of Edgar's writings for the Optimist on historical topics, plus a larger group of manuscripts that have been edited by him in his capacity as editor of the Optimist and as an interested and knowledgeable local historian. The fonds also consists of minutes of meetings, correspondence, reports, etc. accumulated by Edgar as a member of the Delta Community Band, various centennial committees, the Delta Historical and Museum Society, and other organizations. Edgar is a talented amateur photographer, and his photograph collection reflects his work as a reporter and his interest in the people and events of Delta.               Fonds consists of textual records, graphic materials, and artefacts relating to Louise Sorensen’s life in the Netherlands, some of which was spent in hiding. Many of the items are wartime records, including photographs and negatives, correspondence, paper currency, drawings, notice of registration, official and forged identity cards, and ration cards. Additionally, the fonds contains copies of Sorensen’s great-uncle’s daughter’s, Ans’, testimonies; several English translations of items provided by Sorensen; and a 1947 second edition of Anne Frank’s Het Achterhuis, or The Diary of a Young Girl, also known as the Diary of Anne Frank. The fonds has been arranged by the archivist into the following six series: Personal records, Family records, Photographs, Correspondence, Currency and Publications and writings.

              Series consists of records generated by the correspondence between Sorensen and family members, as well as emails between Sorensen and individuals from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre. Records include handwritten and typed letters, postcards, and emails. The letters and postcards were primarily typewritten on a typewriter, with two postcards being handwritten. The series includes an envelope addressed to Loesje Stein.

              Collection is comprised of records accumulated as a result of the participation of the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre in a project entitled Writing Lives: The Holocaust Survivor Memoir Project. Writing Lives was a partnership between Langara College’s English and History departments, the Azrieli Foundation and the VHEC. For the project, students at Langara College worked closely with Vancouver-based Holocaust survivors to produce their written memoirs over the course of two semesters. In the first semester, students learned the history of the Holocaust. In the second semester, students interviewed survivors, transcribed the interviews and together with the survivors, completed written memoirs. In this fonds are the memoirs, administrative files and digital photographs produced during the two-year run of the project. Seven survivors participated in the first year of the project, from 2016–2017; five survivors participated in the second year of the project, from 2017 to 2018.

              Collection is divided into three series: Memoirs (2017–2018), Administrative files (2016–2018) and Photographs (2017–2018).

              Collection is comprised of newspapers, magazines and other periodicals published in Western Europe and the United States in the period leading up to and during the Second World War. Publications are relevant to Holocaust studies and education in that they demonstrate widespread antisemitism, Nazi propaganda, international responses and military and resistance activities. Serials in collection are both originals and reprints printed after the original publication.

              Collection is comprised of twenty-eight postcards written by Sylvia Loewy, in Stockholm, Sweden, to her husband, Fritz, after his 1942 arrest and deportation. Not knowing where her husband was, Sylvia sent the postcards by registered mail to shtetls, ghettos and concentration camps throughout the Polish General Government territory. The postcards were sent in batches with similar messages, explaining that she lives in Sweden, that she is fine, and that she hopes to receive news from her husband as soon as possible.
