Scope and content
This series consists of a unique letter from Bedaux to the Oakley Parker, five months prior to his suicide. Charles Bedaux was the orchestrator of the 1934 expedition. After the expedition and on his return to Europe he was arrested and imprisoned and at this point wrote this letter. This document is unique to the Hudson’s Hope Museum and was donated by the Parker family for the Packers on the Trail exhibition. The copy of the photograph of the map in this series was purchased from the Library Archives of Canada. This map was part of the story and promotion of the Packers on the Trail project. This series is arranged into two sub-series: Letters, and Photographs.
