Casey Wells was born at Edenbank Farm, Sardis, B.C., the grandson of Sardis pioneer Allen Casey Wells. Wells founded radio station CHWK in 1927 and established an aerial photography business in the 1950s. He was actively involved in the Chilliwack Valley Historical Society and collected archival records. He published the "Anthology of Valley History", a series of historical pamphlets. He collected myths of the Sto:lo Indians, and studied the phonetics of the Halkomelem language.
