Biographical history

The Revelstoke Division of the Canadian Pacific Railway operated out of Revelstoke, B.C., and administered CPR activities from Kamloops in the west to Field in the east and to Okanagan Landing in the south.

The fonds consists of crew reports, registers of train arrivals and departures, position bulletins, yardmen's registers, switch lists, spare lists, engineers' reports, correspondence (including telegrams), press releases, inventory and order books, clearance papers, operators slipbooks, Land Department journal, track profiles, bulletins and memos, waybills, receipts, manuals, seniority lists, snow reports, train orders (including for the Royal Train No. 2850), and train dispatcher's records. Fonds includes promotional photographs (including those taken by Nicholas Morant and Dusty Viedeman) and plans of proposed tunnels. Fonds includes records of the office of Walter Paffard (Asst. Superintendent, CPR Revelstoke), the Land Department, and various CPR divisions and subdivisions, including Windermere Subdivision, Thompson Subdivision, Kootenay Division, Cranbrook Subdivision, Rossland Subdivision, and Boundary Subdivision.
