Iain T. Benson was a lawyer who arrived on Bowen Island in the early 1990s. He was a member of the Friends of the Bowen Island Public Library Association, the Bowen Island Trust Committee, and the Bowen Island Advisory Planning Commission; he also chaired the Residential Land Use Task Force for the Bowen Island Official Community Plan. Iain and his wife Eleanor often hosted musical events in their home. The Benson family left Bowen ca. 2005.
