Biographical history

Beaumont Boggs came to Victoria about 1886. In the 1890s, Boggs opened the real estate and insurance firm Boggs, Beaumont and Company. He later went into partnership with Robert S. Day in the firm Day and Boggs. Boggs was married to Louisa Mary Richardson and had four children Arthur, Herbert, Mary and Dorothy. The family residence "Maplewood" was built at 1133 Catherine Street.

The fonds consists of photographs of the Boggs family, the family residence at 1133 Catherine Street, and a survey party under the direction of J. Pemberton working in the Dease Lake region of British Columbia.
