History

The Anglican Young People's Association (A.Y.P.A.), organized nationally and at lower levels in the Anglican Church, began in British Columbia as local organizations. In 1932 a Provincial Council was formed, having largely consultative and coordinating functions. After national restructuring in 1967 the organization was renamed the British Columbia Anglican Youth Movement (BCAYM).
