The 54th Battalion Association was established in 1928 and held an annual banquet for veterans of the 54th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. The Association also worked to collect records pertaining to the 54th Battalion and its members.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of the association's minute book and scrapbook (1928-1982), membership book (1963-1982) and a variety of records of or pertaining to the 54th Battalion and its members. These records include photographs, field message books, paybooks, correspondence, military and battle maps, notebooks, scrapbooks, memoirs, and ephemera. Fonds includes an unpublished narrative by H.H. Gill of his experience in World War I with the 54th Battalion, CEF, which is entitled "Is It Worthwhile?"
