History

In 1980, Ken Young, a U.B.C. history student, made copies of approximately 300 photographs owned by local pioneer families as part of a B.C. government funded youth employment program supervised by the Delta Museum and Archives. Ken, a resident of Delta, was particularly interested in documenting the farming and fishing industry of early Delta. In order to interest local people in the project, Ken took his equipment to their homes to do the copying. The Delta Museum and Archives owns the copy prints and negatives.
