Occasional services in Westbank began as early as 1894, initially by the Presbyterian minister from Kelowna, but later from the Presbyterian minister from Peachland, once services began there in 1897. These early services were held in private homes, until a school was built in 1908. The school was used until 1938, when a church was built and dedicated in November of that year. The ministers serving Westbank prior to church union in 1925 were alternately Methodist and Presbyterian, as this alternation practice satisfied the mixed membership of the Methodist Church in Peachland. After Church Union in 1925, Peachland United Church and Westbank United Church continued as a single Pastoral Charge until 1980, when they became separate Charges.
