History
Bob Turnbull was born in Winnipeg in 1912. He came to B.C. with his family when his father, W.H. Turnbull, became employed on the construction of the Trans Canada Highway in 1924. Bob went to work at Earlscourt Farms in 1928 and stayed until 1934. His connection to Lytton came about through marriage - his wife was of the Burr family in Ashcroft, and her grandmother was Rose Loring, sister to Delos Loring of the Loring Ranch in Botannie Valley, Lytton, B.C. Bob's father was born in Manitoba in 1884, died in 1968. He was with the Department of Agriculture, Provincial Government, and was also a correspondent for the Vancouver Daily Province.
