Biographical history
The Tranquille Sanatorium was established in 1907 and was owned and operated by the Anti-Tuberculosis Society of British Columbia until 1921, when it was formally taken over by the provincial government. The sanatorium was also known as the King Edward Memorial Sanatorium.

The fonds consists of annual reports and correspondence of the Tranquille Sanatorium. Fonds also contains voters lists for Tranquille, B.C., from 1918-1920.
