Biographical history
St. Ann's Academy was established as a school in 1858 with the arrival of the first Sisters of St. Ann to Victoria. It also housed the St. Joseph's Province Novitiate from 1889 to 1967 and remained a girls school until 1973 when it was closed. Sister Mary Theodore was a Sister of St. Ann living at the academy from 1911 to 1951.
