According to the TWU Summer Tab for June 15, 1986, "Mr. Douglas Shantz ... comes to us from a teaching assignment at Northwest Bible College. In his earlier years, Mr. Shantz studied at Waterloo University ... Mr. Shantz will head up the Christianity and Culture major, as well as teaching specific Bible courses. He expects to complete his dissertation in the fall."
