History
Lillian Margaret (Halliwell) Rutherford was born in England on October 22, 1894. She was a teacher at Borden Street School in Prince Rupert from 1928 until 1956 when the school was closed. Her husband, John Allan Rutherford, was a surveyor and the couple lived at 1045 1st Avenue. John passed away on February 15, 1954 at age 60 and Lillian left Prince Rupert in 1960. She died in Victoria on December 22, 1991 at age 97.
