Biographical history

Queenswood House of Studies was established in Saanich (Victoria) by the Sisters of St. Ann in 1967 as a house of studies and residence for Sisters studying at the University of Victoria and elsewhere. Queenswood House features a library concentrating on theological, literary, and reference material. A Montessori School was established in 1969 and closed in 1978. Queenswood is a centre offering workshops, conferences, retreats, cultural and self-help programs, sabbatical opportunities. Activities are operated by the Queenswood House staff, or by outside individuals and groups who use Queenswood space and facilities.

The fonds consists of local council minutes; correspondence; subject files (including records of celebrations and calendars of events); guest books, library records; and the records (1969-1978) of the Montessori School.
