History
The Port Moody Station Museum is operated by the Port Moody Heritage Society, which was incorporated in 1969 and formed to promote and preserve the documentary and artifactual heritage of Port Moody and area, including Coquitlam and Ioco, B.C.

The Port Moody Heritage Society operates the Port Moody Station Museum, which contains archival material related to Anmore, Belcarra, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody. Holdings include: private papers and/or diaries of early developers including former Sapper John Murray and J.A. Clarke and the diary of longtime City Clerk J. Lye;minutes of the Board of Trade, JUGS (Just Us Girls) Fundraising Club, and the Tuxis Boys Club, City of Port Moody records including assessment and collectors rolls (1913-1970) and some voters lists, and various maps and plans of the area. A publication (1982) by the Society "The Original Inhabitants of the Port Moody-Coquitlam Area" is available. A photograph collection includes some heritage houses, local scenes (Tri-City), railway and sawmill pictures, and photographs of the Ioco refinery and townsite from 1914 to the present.
