  <bioghist encodinganalog="3.2.2"><p>Elmer and Hubert (Hjalmar) Peterson were the sons of Edward and Wilhelmina Peterson, Swedish immigrants who came to Salmon Arm in 1911. In 1948, the Peterson Brothers Company was formed. In addition to fruit growing, they had a John Deere dealership selling and servicing equipment. Elmer Peterson, born 1917 died in 1922.</p></bioghist>  <scopecontent encodinganalog="3.3.1"><p>Fonds consists of ephemera collected by the Peterson Brothers Company. Ephemera includes publications (bulletins and booklets) pertaining to fruit growing and agriculture in British Columbia created by the B.C. Provincial Department of Agriculture, the Ottawa Department of Agriculture, B.C. Tree Fruits Limited, Summerland Research Station, the B.C. Fruit Growers&#039; Association, and B.C. Fruit Growers&#039; Hail Insurance Co. Includes also annual reports of the B.C. Fruit Processors Ltd., 1952-1955.</p></scopecontent>  <controlaccess>
