The North Shore Heritage Advisory Committee was established 27 November 1979 to identify locations on the North Shore that would qualify for designation as heritage sites and structures. Committee members included Olga S. Ruskin, William S. McPhee, Doris Walton, Barry Jackson, Dick Lazenby, Roger Romses, W.J. Baker, Art Davies, and John Watts. Subcommittees for each of the three North Shore municipal divisions prepared relevant inventory listings.
