The Legal Archives of the Law Society of BC acquires records which document the legal profession and judiciary in B.C. Its holdings include the Law Society of BC operational and administrative records, and some records of the Canadian Bar Association-B.C. Branch, the Law Foundation of B.C., the Public Legal Education Society, and the Vancouver Bar Association. The Archives has also acquired records of individuals prominent in the legal community. Restrictions can apply because records are subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Legal Professions Act.
