<bioghist encodinganalog="3.2.2"><p>The Women&#039;s Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Branch 98 in Enderby received its charter on May 28, 1946. Martha Bush was the first president; Mary Panton the first secretary/treasurer. In August 1952 the name was changed to Ladies&#039; Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 98. The ladies were responsible for entertainment and fundraising. They held dances, bingo, and teas, and they catered dinners in the Legion hall. Donations were made to provincial and local organizations. Auxiliary members were given awards in recognition of their service. The organization folded in 2007 when it became difficult to find members to be on the executive.</p></bioghist> <scopecontent encodinganalog="3.3.1"><p>Fonds consists of minutes, membership lists, applications for membership, applications for awards in recognition of service, lists of awards presented, and photographs of executives and events. Of interest is the president&#039;s manual, which is a collated list of members of the executive, activities, donations, and annual reports for each year (1946-2006).</p></scopecontent> <controlaccess>
