Biographical history

The Anglican Young Peoples Association (A.Y.P.A) began in British Columbia as local organizations whose mandate was to bring Anglican youth together by organizing and involving them in various activities. In 1967, consequent to a national restructuring of the organization, the association was renamed The British Columbia Anglican Youth Movement (B.C.A.Y.M). The organization did not have a central office, but volunteer members were active across the province to put in place workshops, conferences, summer projects and to publicize their activities through "Logos", their newsletter. Gary Robertson was a member of the Council of B.C.A.Y.M. from 1989 until 1991 when he moved to Creston, Kootnays, to be employed by the Kootnays Broadcasting System.
