Biographical history
Gary Ness was born in Saskatchewan, in 1928. His talent at portraiture gained him a one year scholarship to the Parisian cole Suprieure Nationale des Beaux Arts. ;He eventually turned his passion for 17th century painting into a job at the conservation department at the Louvre, where he spent his time researching and documenting works.;Source: Todd, Stephen.
