Biographical history
Eleanore Dempster is the author of The Laughing Bridge: A Personal History of the Capilano Suspension Bridge. 31 of these photographs were included in the book. Her husbands maternal grandmother Elizabeth Rebbeck MacEachran lived at the bridge and managed the teahouse for 25 years for Edward Mahon, Eleanore Dempsters husbands uncle by marriage and the father of Bryan Mahon.

Donated by the Gundrid Dempster family (nee Rebbeck) 1 March 1989.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of photographs of the Capilano Suspension Bridge and area, and people including Elizabeth MacEachran, Bryan Mahon, Gundrid Rebbeck and other friends and family members.
