Biographical history
Dora Elizabeth Homan was born in Illinois and travelled with Grace Stanton to Quesnel in 1910. Homan and Stanton operated the Occidental Hotel from 1910 to 1916, and later operated the boarding house known as Stan-Hom Lodge and the British American Hotel. Homan lived in Quesnel until her death.

The fonds consists of records of Homan and Stanton, including records of the Stan-Hom Lodge (1920-1925) and British American Hotel (1925-1928). The fonds primarily consists of financial records including: lease agreements for Stan-Hom Lodge and the British American Hotel, inventories of leased premises, mortgage papers, tax records (forms, receipts, statements for income and property taxes), insurance agreements, investment papers (including plans, sales agreements, receipts, correspondence, and tax papers pertaining to property purchased in Burnaby, B.C.), and personal and miscellaneous records.
