Biographical history
The City of North Vancouver Centennial '71 Committee was established to make and carry out arrangements for organizing a celebration of the centenary of British Columbia's entering confederation. Roland Dean was appointed Chair. The major centennial project was to redevelop the ravine adjacent the Mahon Park playing fields, with an associated museum/archives at the Forbes Ave. armouries (the latter did not materialize). Other projects included a performance of the RCMP Musical Ride and an Awards Banquet for North Vancouver pioneers.

Fonds consists of records of the City of North Vancouver Centennial '71 Committee for the 100th anniversary of B.C.'s entry into confederation, chaired by Roland Dean. Includes correspondence, financial records, and information on projects sponsored by the committee.
