Campbell River Badminton Club
Biographical history
The Campbell River Badminton club was formed on September 10, 1929. Mr. Chas Rogers was appointed as the first President and Lloyd Higgins was appointed as the first Secretary. The club had regularly scheduled tournaments as well as hosted a number of social events which were held in the Community Hall in Campbellton.
Custodial history
Records were in the care of Doreen Olmstead, who had received them from her cousin, who was at one time the secretary of the club.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of administrative and financial records of the Campbell River Badminton Club, including: meeting minute book, 1929-1951; financial records; incoming and outgoing correspondence; and, some issues of the newsletter, B.C. Badminton News.
