Biographical history
Bulkley Valley District Hospital (also known as Sacred Heart Hospital) in Smithers, B.C. was first established in 1920. In 1933, the Sisters of St. Ann were asked to take over management of the hospital. In 1969, the Sisters withdrew from the ownership and administration of the hospital.
