Biographical history
After 1895, the North Pacific Mission was called the British Columbia Mission. The Church Missionary Society began work among native Indians along the northern coast of B.C. in 1857. Mission stations were established primarily in what is now the Anglican Diocese of Caledonia, but also at Alert Bay on Vancouver Island. Around 1920, the Society ceased its activities in the province of British Columbia.
