History
The Jordan River Station of the B.C. Hydro and Power Authority operated a hydroelectric dam and powerhouse at Jordan River. The station was originally built by Vancouver Island Power Company, a subsidiary of the B.C. Electric Company. The plant consisted of Bear Creek and Diversion dams and a powerhouse near the mouth of the Jordan River on Vancouver Island
