Doreen Braverman was active politically with the British Columbia Liberal Party, beginning in the provincial riding of Vancouver-Point Grey in the 1960s. She was on the campaign committee of Garde Gardom and Pat McGeer in Vancouver-Point Grey in 1966 and 1969 respectively. She was elected as the President of the British Columbia Liberal Party in 1973 and ran unsuccessfully as the Liberal candidate for Vancouver Point-Grey in the 1986 provincial election.
