Biographical history
Berit Rasmussen was born in Norway in 1917 and came to Canada in 1947. She attended UBC, then ran a chicken farm for two years on Vancouver Island. She became a child care supervisor and worked in Indian Residential Schools in Alberta, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and finally came to Lytton, B.C. in 1970, to work in St. George's Residential School as a Matron. Berit formed a 'Brownie' group at St. George's in the early 1970s. Berit retired in 1977.

Fonds consists of several photographs. Includes images of personal friends, Beatrice Hanna and Rev. A.W. Harding, and several Girl Guiding/Brownie events.
