Barkerville's holdings consist of books, reference files, photographic material, archival material, and a collection of maps, plans and blueprints. The focus of these holdings is the history of the Cariboo region of British Columbia, with a focus on the time period 1860 to present. Within this time frame, emphasis is placed upon all aspects of both European and Chinese habitation in the Cariboo. Parallel to this is a variety of modern and archival material which concern mining and mining technology. Material is available for study and reproduction (a fee will be charged for the latter).
