The Associated Descendants of Kootenay Pioneers, Nelson Branch was sponsored by the Nelson and District Old Timers Association and was established as a social and cultural organization to carry out activities relating to the preservation and appreciation of Nelson's heritage. The Association's membership was open to individuals whose descendants were pioneers of the East and West Kootenays.
